Joining LINEACT at CESI for a research internship would be a fantastic opportunity to contribute to innovative projects while deepening my skills in a cutting-edge environment focused on digital transformation and Industry 4.0.


Overview of the LINEACT Laboratory at CESI :

CESI LINEACT, the Laboratory for Digital Innovation for Businesses and Learning in Support of Territorial Competitiveness, is the research laboratory of CESI Engineering School. The goal of research at CESI is to generate knowledge and methods that serve the scientific community. Its current organization is linked to training fields and responds to a need for identification within the research ecosystem.


Project context :

CESI LINEACT is a partner of the FAN Platform (Additive Manufacturing in Normandy), bringing together a consortium of more than 10 industrial and academic players under the coordination of NAE (Normandie AeroEspace). Driven by the aerospace, defense, and security sectors in Normandy (NAE), key local stakeholders have gathered to create an Additive Manufacturing platform. In this context, CESI LINEACT is offering a 6-month research internship.


Research Topic Description :

The internship will focus on studying the factors influencing the adoption of additive manufacturing technology (3D printing) in the industrial sector. The aim is to analyze how open innovation - collaboration with external stakeholders and the use of external resources - can accelerate the adoption of this technology by businesses. The internship will involve exploring the drivers and barriers to the adoption of additive manufacturing and examining the impact of open innovation strategies on this adoption process.


Tasks :

The tasks to be carried out during this project will include:

  • Conducting a literature review on open innovation and additive manufacturing.
  • Analyzing open innovation strategies applied to additive manufacturing.
  • Identifying drivers and barriers to the adoption of additive manufacturing by industrial companies.
  • Participating in the analysis of open innovation models and identifying best practices.
  • Contributing to the writing of reports and publication of research results.
  • Attending project follow-up meetings and contributing to the production of deliverables.


Description du profil

Required profile :

  • Master's degree in management sciences or a related field.
  • Good interpersonal skills, open-mindedness, adaptability, writing ability, and autonomy.


Bonus at 15% of the Social Security hourly ceiling.

Starting date: February/March 2025
