Iron Production Director - Manufacturing - Egypt Michael Page

Reporting to the General Manager, you are required to carry out the below duties:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of iron production, ensuring optimal efficiency and product quality
• You are responsible for leading and managing a large production team, ensuring the product result and quality are aligned with the business objectives
• Responsible for efficient use of raw materials, including iron ore, limestone to maintain iron stability
• Developing new strategies to improve productivity, while reducing costs and maintaining product quality
• Effectively collaborating with the engineering and maintenance teams to ensure continuous operations
• Responsible for monitoring iron production metrics and KPI's, to identify opportunities for improvement
• You are responsible for the production forecasts and coordinating with procurement teams to manage material inventory

Minimum of 15 years of working experience as an Iron Production Director within the steel rebar manufacturing industry is highly preferred
Bachelor or Master's degree in in Metallurgy, Engineering or a related field is highly preferred
You bring 3 years of experience working in a senior leadership role
Strong knowledge of iron making processes, particularly blast furnaces or Direct reduced iron (DRI)
Proven working experience handling direct reduction (HYL technology) is an asset
Excellent fluency in English and Arabic is required
Must be willing to relocate to one of the manufacturing facilities in Egypt

Due to the expansion of their business, they are currently seeking an Iron Production Director to lead their manufacturing operations in Egypt. This role can be based at any of the below location (Alexandria, Sadat, Suez & 10th of Ramadan)
