Industry 4.0 & eMarking Operation Engineer (W/M) Saint-Gobain

As a member of the TIP/SG Glass & Glassolutions Technical Direction, you will be in charge of "rollout and support of Industry 4.0 and automation solutions": eMarking project with significant operational impact throughout Glass Industry production sites and their customers (Glass Solutions, Sekurit and external customers), and also OEEWEB and Process Vision: Two solutions highly spread on several Saint Gobain Business and external customers.

Your responsibilities are as follows:

1. Overview and secure the eMarking operation on our upstream production lines and downstream cutting lines both for existing running installations and the new ones inside and outside Saint Gobain.
2. Overview and secure OEEWEB and PROCESS VISION inside and outside Saint Gobain business both for existing running installations and the new ones.
3. For those tools, manage the hot-line service and coordinate trouble shooting which involves the central IT team, technical local teams on multiple sites and the equipment suppliers
4. Work closely with the solution's project leaders and development teams to improve the design and robustness of the solutions based on new customer needs and experience from running lines

• Mobility requested: 30% in France & Europe, possibly outside Europe.
• Position is based at Thourotte (France, Oise), location of TIP Industry 4.0, eMarking Team

For that position we are looking for an individual with the following skills and experience:

• Automation engineer with strong interest in instrumentation including optics/vision, Industrial IT (Profinet, TCPIP), server administration (SQL/MySQL db), Automation (Siemens TIA portal, grafcet, ladder), SCADA (Ignition) and IoT (OPC UA, I/O Link, MQTT).
• Advanced analytical, conceptual and technical problem-solving abilities.Takes ownership in the coordination of action plan leading to the relevant solution.
• Data collection & analytics usage to identify process variability and propose automation program modifications/process design improvements in order to improve productivity/quality.
• Excellent communication skills, be sensitive to local environment specificities and difficulties; adapt your contribution level to local needs and competencies. Be result oriented and take ownership.
