**Job Description:**
Airbus UpNext is looking for a 5G NTN Layer 1 FPGA Engineer to explore 5G Non-Terrestrial-Network capabilities based on space platforms.
Our objective is to explore many new technologies and to support the strategic ambitions of Airbus. As such, be prepared for a wild ride, digging into unconventional ways of working, and be ready for many pivots throughout, as we will explore the unknown.
This position is based in Toulouse, and we will collaborate with teams across Europe and an international partnership landscape.
This job comes with a 3 year CDI-C contract, starting ASAP.

By being the 5G NTN Layer 1 FPGA Engineer, you will:
* Be the focal technical point of contact for Physical Layer deployment over FPGA
* Link with On-board mission SW team to deliver a complete physical layer solution
* Link with partners for the 5G On-board Mission SW implementation and validation
* Your Boarding Pass *
What you bring:
* Experience in 5G standard and technology, satellite telecommunication systems and Satellite Radio Access Network architecture.
* IP integration over FPGA
* Knowledge in embedded SW integration and validation (yocto, device tree, petalinux)
* Experience in SW development
* Knowledge in Radio Frequency testing
* Passion about technology, science.
* Experience in complex engineering projects.
* Power to take initiatives to propose simpler and efficient ways of working.
* Hands-on and solution oriented attitude.
* Autonomy, Adaptability, Availability, Accountability.
* Joy in working in an international, diverse and geographically located team.
