ADECCO MONACO is recruiting a CREDIT RISK OFFICER for a permanent contract on private banking.

The position :

Delivering credit sanctiong decisions to support the strategic ambitions of PB whilst operating within the risk appetite framework set for the business through industry mandate and scale limits and adherence to credit policy and standards frameworks set by Group Risk.

Supporting the management of all aspects of Credit Risk within the Monaco Private Bank ("PB") portfolio, including effectiveness of process and controls, overall risk profile of the credit business, monitoring Risk Appetite utilisation and other Risk limits.

Building and maintaining a strong partnership and collaborative approach with all key stakeholders in Coverage, Product, Middle Office and wider Risk Function.

Ensuring the highest standards of credit risk management across the portfolio are maintained and are consistent with mandate and scale limits, credit policies, standards, and procedures and operate within a strong control and conduct risk framework at all times.

Provide an effective and efficient credit risk sanctioning service for the Monaco platform and PB, exercising daily sanctioning activity in line with discretion level assigned by PB Chief Credit Officer and producing high quality, clear and concise credit recommendations for high value and complex credit transactions to senior sanctioners.

Ensure Risk adds value using expert lender experience to support deal teams - engaging early and providing input in local structuring of transactions as and when required by Debt Structuring and Private Bankers.

Ensure timely identification of adverse risks within the portfolio and early engagement / referral to Special Asset Management where appropriate.

Daily monitoring of clients' credit positions to:

ensure respect of authorised limits and of security margins,

detect any clients with unauthorised credit exposures,

request and sanction Excess Report where appropriate,

escalate to Head of Credit any unusual positions / account behaviour.

Your specification :

Strong performance track record in credit risk management or credit administration environment and/or audit/control of credit risk

Excellent technical knowledge on credit analysis for corporate and private bank clients supported by relevant working experience with proven record of commercial application in a banking or audit environment

Experience in the daily monitoring of the credit book and collateral breaches and/or audit of the same

Understanding of behavioral drivers of corporate and private bank clients and macroeconomic factors in our chosen markets.

Strong product knowledge across Corporate, Private Bank and Capital Markets including Mortgages, Real Estate development loans, Lombard Lending, BGIs, and Derivatives.

Excellent Communication skills, written and oral.

Well organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Personal resilience, comfortable with ambiguity and change.

Degree level or equivalent business experience.

Experience in corporate or investment bank.

International experience across multiple countries and jurisdictions.

Fluent in English and French

Salary : 90/95k€ gross + business Benefits ( CE - mutuelle etc)
